What is the order of the events?

Is this a mass start?
No. This triathlon will be conducted through the use of waves. Your age or relay determines the wave placement. The waves and wave ages are:

What will the weather be like on race day?
Based upon last year’s information, race day weather should consist of clear skies, with early morning air and water temperatures in the mid 70s, and midday air and water temperatures in the low to mid 80s.

Are wetsuits allowed?
Yes, wetsuits are allowed since this is not a wetsuit restricted event. Also, despite the warm water temperature, some people will still choose to use their wetsuits in order to break them in a little or simply because they feel more comfortable swimming with the wetsuit on.

Where will the swim take place?
The swim will take place in the Hansen Dam Recreation Lake, which is located in the Aquatics Center.

What type of visibility will there be in the lake?
Underwater visibility will range from 3 – 5 feet.

I have a mountain bike, is that alright to use for the bike portion?
Yes, that’s absolutely fine. Make sure that you pump up your tires appropriately to reduce rolling friction, though.

I live far away from the venue and can’t make it the day before to pick up my packet. Can I pick up the packet on the day of the race? yes 5:30-6:30

Can I sign up for the race on race day? Yes, you can! All individual events will cost $160 (+ USAT one-day membership if needed) and all relays will cost $230 per team (+ USAT one-day membership if needed). Cash or charge will be accepted (NO CHECKS).


Is there a different course for the youth?
No.

Refund/Transfer Policy:
8/10/15 is the last date for possible transfer to next year's race.
There is a $15.00 transfer fee.
